What is a Chapter 128 Filing?

The Wisconsin Chapter 128.21 Statute allows Wisconsin residents to voluntarily enter into a debt consolidation plan. This allows Wisconsin residents to avoid bankruptcy and pay their debts back over a period of no more than 3 years.

Is this a Bankruptcy?

No. Though there are some similarities to a bankruptcy, this is specific to the state of Wisconsin. There are also no Court appearances required.
